Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar waters have been around for awhile now they are soap and alcohol free. They are basically a better more gentle version of the traditional face wipe.

I've been trying out the Garnier Micellar Water for awhile now. It leaves skin soft and doesn't irritate it. It also removes stubborn eye makeup. It's also suitable for you if you have sensitive skin.

It's great for the quick removal of makeup perfect if you have had a late night, just throw some on a cotton pad and wipe away! Or it's great if you are away for the weekend and don't want to be bringing separate cleansers and toners with you.

You can pick this up in Boots or any pharmacy for €6.99. It comes in a large 400ml bottle so this will last you ages.

The Best Contouring Brush

I have been on the hunt for the best contouring brush for ages and I have finally found it :-)

Blank Canvas F30 Is amazing it makes contouring easy especially for creating the perfect chiselled cheekbones and it can be used with cream or powder products.

I'm a lover of Blank Canvas brushes they are all amazing quality and are so reasonably priced they are far better than some of the more expensive brands I have tried in the past this one is only €19.99 from http://www.blankcanvascosmetics.com/products/f30-sculpt-brush.html

Thanks for reading,
Zoë :-)

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup ~ First Impressions

Charlotte Tilbury is royalty in the makeup world, she is the go to makeup artist for some of the most famous women such as Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Millie Mackintosh, Kim Kardashian, Penelope Cruz, Rihanna, The Delevingne sisters Poppy & Cara, and other incredibly talented people like Katie Grand and Lucinda Chambers, she has worked with some of the world’s best photographers such as Mario Testino, Mert & Marcus and Terry Richardson and amazing designers such as Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and Christopher Bailey.

Every makeup artist has heard of her and this week I was surprised by my boyfriend with a box full of Charlotte Tilbury goodies as the gorgeous Rozanna Purcell commented on an Instagram pic I put up of my new makeup "best fb ever" She's totally right!!

The packaging is so luxurious and looks expensive. I got 'The Dolce Vita' look and also the infamous 'Magic Cream' which was given the name by supermodels backstage at fashion shows that Charlotte worked on, Wonderglow and Rock n Kohl Eyeliner.

I'm waiting till the weekend to use the makeup but I have used the Magic Cream and I am already in love with it! You need to take the time to work this into the skin for maximum results, it feels so rich and creamy and melts into the skin, it defintley brightens and plumps the skin and smells amazing. I think this will last awhile too as you only use a small amount at a time, so far I think this is defintley worth the price.

I will do a review of the makeup at the weekend!

P.S Pictures really don't do the colours justice!

Skincare Routine for Normal Skin

Next up in my skincare regime is normal skin. Most of us aren't lucky enough to have normal skin but if you do I'm jealous of you!! Below is a typical routine for normal skin.

Characteristics of Normal Skin:

Barely evident pores
Medium Epidermis
Even skin tone
Clear complexion
Neither tight or greasy feeling

Cleanser: Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Cleansing Lotion. Enriched with Vitamins & Natural Lotus Extract it cleanses and hydrates your skin to keep its natural moisture balance.

Toner: Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Toner. Invigorates skin while removing any left over residue from your cleanser.

Moisturiser: Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match Start Afresh Light Softening Cream. This is a new range of 5 tailor made moisturisers for specific skin types. I have tried this moisturiser and I love it.

Exfoliator: St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Face Scrub, I love this it smells amazing and leaves your skin so soft

Once a month it would be a good idea to use a deep cleansing clay mask to keep your skin looking perfect I love Holland and Barrett Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask. I think this is amazing and really leaves your skin looking so healthy and clean feeling.

When it comes to foundation you are lucky that you can get away with light coverage because you won't have any imperfections to cover up. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation or MAC Face and Body are great choices and you can build up the coverage if you want the option for night time make up!

I hope you found this helpful and if you have any questions please ask. Next week will be combination skin.
