Top 3 Emmy Award Makeup Looks

Last night the 66th Emmy Award took place in Los Angeles. I have put together my favourite 3 makeup looks from the night.

Taylor Schilling from Orange is The New Black

Glowing skin and a light brown smokey eye. Love this effortless look.

Sarah Hyland from Modern Family

Gorgeous bronzed skin paired with a rich brown smokey eye and nude/brown lip.

Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones

This is my favourite look, beautiful skin was achieved with my new favourite foundation Estée Lauder Double Wear and teamed with a warm smokey brown/black eye and a nude lip. Love it!

I can't forget the guys and if you're into Game of Thrones like me you will know these two.

Kit Harrington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

How gorgeous are they?! 😍

What were your favourite Emmy looks?

Until next time,

Makeup Work

This post is just a few pics of some of the makeup work I have done. Last year I done a portfolio day shoot with top photographer Lili Forberg. Lili provided models from Morgan The Agency and there was around 10 other makeup artists and we all took turns doing the models makeup while Lili shot them. All the models were so friendly and down to earth and it was a great day!

So a few months later after doing the portfolio day one of the other makeup artists who liked my work from the day got in touch with me and asked would I be available to do the makeup on a magazine shoot in Wicklow as she was unavailable and recommended me, to say I was excited would be an understatement! The shoot took place in Clonwilliam House, what an amazing place, it was so beautiful there, perfect for a small intimate wedding and the views are just amazing from the house. It was a brilliant day I was so nervous going but everyone was so lovely and friendly and it was a really relaxed, fun atmosphere the whole day. The pictures featured in famous wedding magazine Magnolia Rouge and also in BASH wedding magazine. I would love to do it all over again!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

My top 5 picks Ufashion.ie

This week U magazine launched their very own online store and with new looks promised to be added weekly we have plenty to look forward to. I had a little look and I'm impressed so far so I have put together my top 5 picks!

The white coat, I love the shape of this and the gold zips add something different to the standard white coat, this one is a great price at €69 and it comes in black too.

You can't go wrong with a blouse and this darker floral one is perfect for autumn/winter and what a steal at €12.

Be cosy in this oversized jumper perfect for over skinny jeans and boots! €24.95 and also available in blue.

I'm in love with these 90's inspired boots, team them with a pretty dress and black tights for a pretty, grunge look! Bargain at €49.95, I need these!!😍

You can't go wrong with a statement necklace, they are everywhere at the minute. I love this chunky black and gold one for €16.

Have you checked out http://ufashion.ie/ yet?

Party Dress Bargain

So I was looking at this dress for awhile on starla.ie and I loved it I thought it was soo pretty and girly and I loved the blue.

I was thinking about getting it but then I was looking on vavavoom.ie after I seen some of they're dresses on Xpose and came across this dress, what a great copy, the only difference I see is the blue line down the center of the Starla dress and the price, on vavavoom.ie it was €49.99 but reduced to €30 and €130 on starla.ie

In the picture the blue doesn't look as bright as the Starla dress but in person it's just as bright, I'm so glad I found it on vavavoom.ie before I bought it on Starla! It's a perfect party dress and on vavavoom.ie you have the choice of 4 different colours!

I got it to wear to my sister's 21st and I love it what a bargain!

Essence BB Cream

So I bought the Essence BB cream in Penny's it was only around €4 so I said I would give it a go. BB Creams have been around a few years now they originated in Asia years ago but have only recently come onto the market here.

This skincare/makeup combo promises to do the job of five or six other jars and tubes: moisturizer, primer, sunscreen, skin treatment, concealer, and foundation.

I've used the L'oreal and Garnier BB creams or Blemish Balms before and haven't found them great to be honest I think they're basically just a tinted moisturiser given a different name and this Essence BB cream hasn't changed my mind. I got the shade natural and it looked slightly dark on my hand seeing as it was lightest shade but when I applied it to my face it pretty much disappeared, it didn't make any difference or look like I was wearing anything, this hasn't converted me to BB creams, I've read good reviews about the Clairins and Clinique ones so I might try one of them next and let you know if they have converted me!

You can see below when it's rubbed in it doesn't really make much of a difference!

Mane 'n' Tail Spray Therapy

This is the first Mane 'n' Tail product I have used I know I'm a little late trying out this brand but I've heard really good things about they're shampoo's and conditioners so said I would start with this!

It is a leave in conditioner spray that you mist in your hair after it's washed, it can be applied directly to the scalp also if you suffer from a dry scalp to aid flakiness. It contains natural herbal extracts and olive oil complex  and claims to add shine, detangle hair and protect from heat while strengthening hair from root to tip. I have used this the last few weeks and I really like it, I use a good few sprays because my hair is quite long and brush it through, it does detangle my hair very well, it leaves hair smelling gorgeous and it does make my hair shinier and more manageable.

I'm impressed so far with the brand and can't wait to try the shampoo and conditioner! I will do a post on them after I have used them for a few weeks. I got this in,Molloys Pharmacy Ballina and at €12.75 I think it's a great price. I will defintley be repurchasing this when I need to.

DIY Hair Mask

Hi everyone, so who doesn't want soft, shiny, healthy hair? Sometimes with all the heat styling and colouring our hair takes it can leave it more dry and dull than how we wish it would be.

I always use an intensive treatment on my hair because I have been colouring it for years so it needs some tlc! I buy treatments but sometimes I make my own, this one is so simple and easy to do there's only 2 ingredients, I used extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil. I like to apply this every few weeks.

The olive oil nourishes and moisturises hair and gives it shine, its great for dry/damaged hair. The coconut oil also moisturises and leaves hair really soft, sometimes I add a bit of honey that's really good for holding in moisture and has restorative properties but I didn't have any this time so I just left it out. I heated the oil in the microwave for 30 seconds and applied to my scalp and lengths of hair. This is a really good treatment if you have a dry scalp or dandruff just spend a bit of time massaging it into your scalp. I wrapped my hair in a warm towel and left it in for a few hours and shampooed as normal. My hair was so soft after and the coconut oil leaves it smelling gorgeous!

Let me know your DIY hair mask recipies I'd love to try them!
